Disarmament is not an option for governments to take up or ignore. It is a moral duty owed by them to their own citizens, and to humanity as a whole. We must not await another Hiroshima or Nagasaki before finally mustering the political will to banish these weapons from global arsenals.
— Archbishop Desmond Tutu, "It's Time to Rid the World of Nuclear Weapons," The Guardian, May 22, 2010.
Research Associate — Hope Project
RealistRevolt is looking for a research associate to help with a groundbreaking scholarly report that will change the face of the nuclear weapons debate. Need to be an excellent researcher, adept at digging out information where others fail, have an unflagging attention to detail, a talent for creative thinking, and a willingness to absorb an entirely new way of thinking about nuclear weapons.
Previous experience working with sociology scholarship a benefit. Ability to make attractive graphs and tables a must.
This position is unpaid, but you will be a co-author on the most important scholarly paper about nuclear weapons in the last ten years. The project should be completed within four months, less if possible, and would require at least 20 hours a week of your time.

Sarah McCausland Memorial Internship
Sarah McCausland was devoted to the idea of a better world, one where we could all be safer. She was killed by a drunk driver during her freshman year at college at Bard College in 2014.
Sarah McCausland Memorial interns help with social media and organize outreach. Each year RealistRevolt accepts three interns: one in the fall, one in the spring, and one in the summer. Internships for course credit are possible.
To apply for the internship, click on the contact button below and tell us how you feel about nuclear weapons and why you feel it is important to work against them.
